“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!” (Psalm 90:7, ESV). A psalm that began in praise for God’s enduring supremacy ends in petition that the everlasting God would bless the work of His servants. The ephemerality of human life and the weight of God’s judgment have dominated the middle of the psalm; in light of these realities, the wise man considers his destiny (v.12) and fixes his hope upon God (vv.13-17).
Entrust your days to the eternal and almighty God. In all our tasks and projects, the ultimate meaning is found in a relationship with God; let us live our lives before Him, the source of meaning and the Giver of life everlasting.
