“…he will bless those who fear the LORD, both the small and the great” (Psalm 115:13, ESV).
The psalmist has rejoiced in God’s protection of His people, and now extols the blessings of the Lord on those who trust Him. As in the previous section, repetition is used to drive the point home: God will bless them, “he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron”, He will bless all who fear Him (vv.12-13). Our smallness or greatness makes no difference before the Lord Almighty—He sees within, and blesses those who turn to Him.
Fear the Lord, and walk with Him. Our greatest need is to draw near, in reverent fear, to the Lord God Almighty, and to find in Him comfort and strength for every challenge. May the Lord be gracious to you, and bless you as you walk before Him.
