“Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is to be praised!” (Psalm 113:2-3, ESV).
Psalm 113 begins very enthusiastically in declaring the worthiness of God. God is to be praised and His name blessed at all times and forever. That surrender of time to declaring God’s greatness is the theme of verses 2-3: may God be exalted unceasingly, for all days and all hours of the day. While there are special times and places for worship, especially gathered worship, the worship of God is also meant to permeate life for His people.
Bring worship into your day and week, into the rhythms of everyday life. The Christian life is meant to be lived before God, walking with Him every step of the way. He is with us always, and it is always a good time to glorify Him in what we think and say and do, to rely on Him in all things.
