His Glorious Deeds
“We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done” (Psalm 78:4). Psalm 78 reflects on the salvation and judgment of God, on the legacy of His mighty acts in the story of His people. Verse 4 is programmatic for the poem: a commitment to pass on the testimony about God. Remembering God’s deeds in the past is to inspire the loyal love of His people in the present and in times to come.
Remember the works of God as you journey through your days. Let the testimony of His righteous judgment bring you conviction; let the power of His redeeming work bring you peace and hope; let the mighty provision of His arm be your solace, and the assurance of His love your joy, whatever life may bring. Christ has conquered all.
