“But I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up” (Psalm 75:9-10). These verses conclude the 75th psalm, expressing confidence in the righteous judgment of God. In this world the wicked sometimes prosper and the righteous suffer; but in the last judgment with its eternal consequences, God will judge justly. To the wicked this is a solemn warning that calls for repentance; to the righteous this is an encouragement to persevere, and entrust vindication to the Almighty.
May God console you and strengthen you when you look upon the injustice of the world, and when you face injustice in your own life. Do not fear that evil men will get away with their abuse of the poor and vulnerable; do not give in to the temptations of bitterness or despair. God is wise and good, the righteous judge. Seek the Lord, and rest contented in His sovereign care. God is in control, and He will take care of you.
