Chatham Baptist Church in Chatham, Illinois, is seeking a dedicated and visionary Family Life Minister to lead and support ministries that strengthen marriages, empower parents, and guide children and youth in their walk with Christ. Chatham is a vibrant community in Sangamon County, Illinois, located just 2.8 miles south of Springfield along the historic U.S. Route 66 (Illinois Route 4). Responsibilities

Educational Ministries:
-Help recruit, lead, and train volunteers in the Children and Student ministry areas to focus on holistic discipleship through education and ministry.

-Build intentional relationships with parents within our church and community helping equip and train them in discipleship of their families.

Daily Administration:
-Lead in the administration work of all things related to family ministries

Other Responsibilities:
-Minister to the community and lead in church wide celebrations and events with the rest of the staff

Qualifications
-
A mature, consistent disciplined, holy walk with Jesus Christ and alignment with the church’s mission and values.

Strong communications are a must.

Have strong planning and administrative skills to ensure ministries and programs are being well managed. Skilled in leadership, organization, and volunteer development.

Agree with the Baptist Faith and Message 1963

Bachelor’s degree from a Southern Baptist University or Theological Seminary, or a degree in a related field is preferred.
